Highlights of Vietnam 18 days

Vietnam is attracted by the overwhelming beauty of scenery and long-standing culture imbued with national identity. You can see a green fruit and rice fields from the mountains to the coast. Moreover, abundance of natural brings to Vietnam the most beautiful coast and continental shelf in the world. Vietnam also has the natural conditions and different monsoon between North and South. It not only creates the floral green tea gardens, rice fields or bamboo lines around the villages but makes unique customs and various lively cultures in different regions. However, above all others is the ingenious manner with openly enthusiastic welcome to all other countries. You can meet friendly people everywhere from the North to the South, from the majestic waterfall in the Highland or from the land of dream and flower city – Da Lat.

Day 01: Saigon Arrival

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International airport, welcomed by our guide and transfer to hotel for leisure.

Day 02: Saigon - Cu Chi tunnel - Saigon

Head out to the impressive network of the Cu Chi which consists of more than 200 km of underground tunnels. Cu Chi Tunnels were used by Viet Cong for living shelter, headquarters, food and weapon storage. Walk around the tunnel area to see bomb craters, underground bunkers and deadly traps. Back to Saigon for visit to China Town (locally known as Cho Lon), Thien Hau Temple,  Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office (in Romanesque art and French-style) and former Presidential Palace.

Day 03 - 05: Saigon - Mekong Delta

Depart to Mekong Delta for relaxing and flooded river region experience.  Board sampan boats and paddle through stilts houses, floating markets and green islands including Phoenix, Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise. Visit bee farm; experience bike ride around villages; join local activities, cooking class, taste exotic fruits, honey tea and listen to traditional music.

Day 06 - 07: Mekong Delta - Saigon - Dalat

Fly to Dalat to explore the pure, simple and beautiful city. Kown as “Little Paris” by explorers and residents of the town, Dalat is very different with others in Vietnam with architectural buildings dated from 18th centery mixed with legend Eastern style. Visit Dalat Cathedral, love valley, flower garden, crazy house, Dalat colonial Railway, Bao Dai’s summer palace…The peaceful and picturesque beauty are always impressive and memorable experience.

Day 08 - 09: Dalat - Nha Trang

Have a flight to Nha Trang – the coastal city of Khanh Hoa. Enjoy freshest seafood, relaxing, and having sunbath on the white sandy beach; or pick up a snorkel and head out to the sea to search sea animals; or experience a boat trip to nearby islands and Tri nguyen Aquarium…

Day 10 - 11: Nha Trang - Hoi An

Fly to Dang and transfer to Hoian ancient town – UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Join tour on foot to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese temple, Chinese Hall, Hoian market and the Tan Ky ancient house, shops offering tailored clothes, custom made shoes and silk lanterns or see the beautiful countryside and impressive coastal landscape on your way. Experience sampan boat on Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha Pottery village

Day 11 - 12: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue

Depart to Hue through Hai Van (Ocean Cloud Pass). Stop on the mountaintop for paranoma view of Lang Co Beach on the way to Hue. Hue was the former imperial capital and is the gate into the historic past of Vietnam. Explore Hue on the cyclo to Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu pagoda, the Forbidden Purple City or by boat on the romantic and tranquil Perfume River

Day 13: Hanoi City

Fly to Hanoi which is known as a a gracious capital with French-colonial buildings, beautiful boulevards and aromatic milk flower. Visit the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Vietnam museum of ethnology or enjoy cyclo tour around the old quarter and watch the performance of Water Puppets which has thousands years of history.

Day 14: Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Lao Cai

Travel to Hoa Lu - one of the most famous sites of Vietnam for its historic vestiges and its impressive pitons limestone. Visit Temples of Dinh Bo Linh and Le Hoan Kings, later, take a sampan cruise to discover the caves of Tam Coc ("three lagoons") and Bich Dong Pagoda. Back to Hanoi for the night train in Hanoi Railway Station to Lao Cai.

Day 15 - 16: Lao Cai -  Sapa

Arrive at Lao Cai station; depart to Sapa through majestic mountain ranges. Trek down to the valley passing gorgeous terraced rice fields, green hills of tea to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages which are home land of colorfully-clothed hilltribes, such as: the Tay, the red Hmong, the Daos, Phu La… The regions are remote, thus the best way to explore them is on an overnight trek, spending the night as a guest of a local family.

Day 17 - 18: Sapa – Hanoi – Halong

Take night train back to Hanoi, then travel to Halong the “jewel in the Crown of Vietnam”. Board an overnight junk to relax through the tranquil and emerald water and around the limestone islets jutting out of water. Not only is Halong attractive to tourists due to its beauty, numerous stunning sites, but hides a lot of the impression for the ecosystem of forests and sea.

Travel back to Hanoi after cruise for the flight to next destinations.
